Her Week Day

Her Week Day

A Poem by Allison
"

A little poem talking about how my school days go.

"

She wakes in the morning with slow feet,

Going fast in her clothes and wanting to eat,

She misses her breakfast and goes to school,

She thinks in her mind, "This isn't cool",

In the first five classes she is emotionless,

But after lunch she is restless,

Once in her van she is full of joy

To go home and be a normal tomboy,

She plays her video game with a friend,

And talks to him with no end,

But the time comes when she has to go,

She takes her time and goes very slow,

She changes her clothes and walks to bed,

Settles down, grabs a book, and lies her head

On her pillow, and she thinks of the future day,

When she will be the star all the way,

When she decides to stop reading, she turns off the light,

Then she listens to her favorite music the rest of the night.

Interesting. It tells a good story and I am a tomboy as well, so I can relate to this girl. It's not easy trying to be two people, we can only be us. We shouldn't have to change our looks because they want us to look that way. We are all unique in our own way. I also love the flow of this poem.

I love the flow of this poem. I am a tomboy at heart at times so I can definitely relate to this. The school part definitely got to me because that's how I always went through school. This is a good read. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!
You have written this lovely poem to depict your day to routine.
But,roughly similar routine is followed by millions of children across the world.
I enjoyed the lucid statement that flows like a stream.
Congratulations!!!

it's good but I don't get why everyone is saying she is living like as 2 different people it just sounds like the girl enjoys being a tomboy and doesn't really care for school.

I could relate to this poem. When I was going to school I use to look forward to going home, and actually doing things that I enjoyed. You could actually use this to relate to adulthood as well. Most people look forward to doing things that they enjoy. It's all about doing things that make us happy and make us whole. I definitely enjoyed reading this poem.
