ApologiesA Poem by AkashiI'm sorry. The words on my tongue can't change what they've done They bruised and battered not only my conscience They've stabbed me in the back, they fell out misplaced There are so many things I wish I could erase Apologizes can't stitch up the hearts I foolishly, cruelly ripped apart Apologizes can't backspace the text I sent I wish I could backspace all my regret The pain in my heart can't restart When I realize what I've done I can't take out the parts When I realize what I've done I can't pull out the sword I stabbed into their backs I can't just walk up to them and say "Sorry, I didn't mean that" Because no matter how many words I say The words I said before will always stay.
