Alone on ChristmasA Poem by AkashiChristmas! :DIt seems like I'm all alone Under this
sparkling mistletoe I close my eyes,
and bend toward I feel the air
press against my lips, the cold weather Sitting in this small chair, beside
the Christmas tree I stare down at
that empty space, where the presents should
be No voices of children, no laughing
or singing No homemade pies
or meat, nothing The snow lays itself against the
ground The stars seem
to whisper to each other without making a sound The night seems so cold, but the
fireplace seems too hot I wish I could be
with someone, maybe a couple people, not a lot If they could hold me beside the
window and keep me warm and comfy I would only
then, love Christmas the most, but I can only love the thought. © 2016 AkashiReviews
