CHECKMATE

There is a certain pace this should be read at. Slowly and seriously. :)

My darling, my rival, my black king and queen

I'll make my pawns haunt you 'til you let out a scream

A breath over the chess board is too risky a dare

Because not even a joyful smile can be happily shared.

We sit here off in thought about our secret plans

Only some of our chess pieces now still stand.

My horses and rooks will glare at your king

And we'll intimidate him 'til he lets out a scream.

My dark stranger, my rival, my opposite side,

Show me that fear that you always hide

Watch as your pieces fall like dominoes

Not even a pawn still on his toes.

Look at the board, but now it's too late

Scream at the Lord when I whisper

"CHECKMATE."

Oh wow!! This is really a very interesting elegant-in-style pice which I honestly finds very cool.lol. but ueah…I loved your choice of words which really makes us feel that very intense feel while one plays the game.
