Love Then Love Now.

Love Then Love Now.

A Poem by Akankshya Ekankeeka

Years of deepened beliefs,

To love is to being naive, they said
like a kid easily bribed for a cotton candy
To love is like craving for that hot cup of tea at the mid-noon of an extra chilled winter days, they said
like seeking comfort on turbulence such days
To love is feeling presence of your beloved’s around even if they are not, they said
like seeping yourself or your beloved in each other’s validation
To love is caring selflessly, they said
like nourishing the fully bloomed plant more than the plant still blooming

What it looks like,

Love never asked you to be naive certainly, if it does then all the people in this world would have been happy and in love

Love was never meant to stay in your comfort, it questions your resistance, it moved mountains and more over it risks your inner patience

Love never demands validating, it not even chains down ones presence even if in their absence, Love believed to be set free yet let the warmth to be felt

Love demands loving the parts of your own broken soul at first before heading over to another, Love demands self love first to be unconditional to rest!
