RecoveryA Poem by Aka_Kitsune
Familiar scarlet flows steadily,
countless times i have done myself harm. The emotional burdens weigh me down heavily, as the cuts grow more evident on my arm. Fools scurry back in obvious alarm, too inconsiderate to deliver aid. Only feeling this blood so warm, can carry me through each day. I flee into the peace of night, then she assists me, dazzling with beauty. Rescuing me from what nearly became my fate, just the site of her is stunning. My girl stands by me, ever since she saved me before it was too late. -Shawn A. Jewell © 2012 Aka_KitsuneAuthor's Note
