IF LOVE WAS...

If love was freedom, I would rather be in chains and shackles.
If love was a shoe, I would rather walk bare footed.
If love was light,I would stay in darkness.
If love was reality,I would rather live my dreams.
If love was a shining armour,I would rather wear torn rags.
If love was music,I would rather listen to silence.
If love was the food that filled the soul of every man,I would rather stay hungry till my soul perish!
If love was life, I would rather take death!!
If love is really love,then i would stick with HATE!!!

Very bizarre viewpoint that I'm not sure I understand fully. However, the way you're stating this message is very original & full of details to exemplify your viewpoint in no uncertain terms! I actually prefer all the various responses you've stated here in the second half of each line, but I'm just not feeling how this relates to love so much. Still, I give you kudos for expressing love in an original way . . . we get so tired of all the flowery love poems saying the same predictable stuff.
