Idleness

Idleness

A Poem by Joicy Christopher
"

Just another try and a continuation#

"
Dart upon me- for
Ever I would love you.
Assent my madness,
Time failed me- so
Heal pain with an end

Hence I would,

Leave back all - for your
Eternal call.
Fate drives me,
Towards you I move.

It isn't that this one is hard to understand - its gestalt makes intent readily apparent. The shades of meaning of some words are not as definitive as our minds' would believe them to be.

This is an acrostic poem. The first stanza spells "Death" the final stanza spells "Left" Unless you did that by accident, but it doesn't seem like it's an accident. It seems purposeful.
This is a thought provoking poem. I enjoyed reading it.
