Chapter 2: The Unexpected Visit

Chapter 2: The Unexpected Visit

A Chapter by Christina

I woke the next morning, my mother was sitting in a chair beside my bed. I shook her to wake her up. "Mother, why are you here?" "You would not wake up early this morning like you always do and you were running a fever." She placed her hand on my forehead to check me. "It seems you have gotten rid of it. I must have dosed off there for a minute." "Mother, go lie down. I’ll be fine. I feel perfectly fine." "Are you sure, Sweetie?" "Yes." I got up, helping her out of my room and went to get into the shower. As I got out, I looked out the window and it was nighttime instead of the morning. I went and got dressed, putting on a black dress, that showed my back and went down to my knees. I also put on a pair of black pantyhoes and my black boots. As I opened my door and began walking downstairs, I began to hear someone whisper to me. I looked around and found no one. I felt my head to check for a fever, shrugging because I did not find one and continued down the stairs. As I opened the front door, I came face to face with Damien who had been wearing a black long sleeve shirt and black pants with boots. You could see his face now and it was stunning, not a crease or wrong curve on his face. My knees suddenly gave out again and I almost fell, grabbing onto the door. "Damien, what are you doing here?" He did not answer and began to look around my house. I repeated myself, a bit louder now. "What are you doing at my house? And how did you find out where I lived?" His blue eyes looked into my greenish brown eyes that you could see now from the light in the house. "I was returning this." He handed her a blue rose, made of crystal. "I seen you drop it last night and I came to give it back, but you were running home. Was everything alright last night?" I did not want to tell him about the red eyed freak that I met last night. So, I lied. "Everything was fine. I was not feeling good last night. So, I hurried home." He nodded, as if he knew I was lying to him he said "Are you lying to me?" I gulped and shook my head, vigorously. I really wanted to tell him about that guy, but I barely knew him. And I began to want him alot more then I felt last night. "I’m sorry, but I have to get to work Damien." "I’ll walk you there." She blushed a bit. "You do not have to, if you do not want to." He gently took my arm under his and shut the door.
