Chapter 1: The Vampire Within

Chapter 1: The Vampire Within

A Chapter by Christina

The vampires lerk around each corner, hoping to find a healthy or beautiful host. I, myself, was careful not to run into them. When my dark brown eyes first saw him, I almost fell and hit the ground. He grabbed me, steading me. "Are you alright, Miss?" I looked up at him, astonished that he caught me, though I thought he was far away from me at least ten feet. "I’m fine now, thank you. I keep having these weak spells.." I lied to him, not wanting him to know that I was actually falling for him. My body was in twists and turns as I looked into his blue eyes, I could have swore that they turned red for a minute. I guess I am seeing things too. I pulled my hand away from him, gently. "Thank you again, Mister..?" "Ah, yes. I’m sorry, I haven’t properly introduced myself to you. I am known as Damien Therghalt." "Its nice to meet you, my friends call me Elana." He nods, looking about. "What is it?" "I must be going, it was a pleasure meeting you." I blinked, by the time I opened my eyes he was gone. I looked around trying to find him and sighed heavily when I could not see him anywhere. As I turned around my black dress with red lace traced the ground, I nearly bumped into someone. "I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to.." A hand ran over my neck and down my shoulder, to the top of my dress. "Such a lovely body." I looked up and come face to face with a tall, dark and very handome man who was wearing black pants and a tight black shirt that showed his every detail of his body. "T-thank you very much.." The hand moved away as I stepped back, not wanting to be touched by some guy that I didn’t know. He dropped his hand, I looked up into his red eyes and nearly screamed, but he placed his finger on my lips to keep the scream in. "Shh, my dear. I will not harm you." My eyes remained wide with fear and the intention to run for my life. His hand never moved, I tried to move, but it was like I was paralyzed. He chuckled "I would not advice you to move, my dear sweet, Elana." I began to glare at him, he only chuckled again "You do not frighten me, young one. I will be watching over you, while I wait for you to come to me." With that he was gone and I fell to my knees, shaking. How did he know my name..? Am I not safe anymore..? I began to think every question a girl could ask herself and possibly more. I looked around, slowly getting up, grabbing my stuff and I ran home as fast as I could.
