You hit me harder than i thought.

You hit me harder than i thought.

A Poem by Airtightparadox
"

This is a poem about how you sometimes realise too late someone means the world to you.

"

You really hit me harder than I thought,

I actually can’t stand it when you’re not,

In my arms, singing of key.

Or the one and lonely beacon, in my Tenerife sea.

You really hit me harder than I thought,

I actually can’t stand it that you’re not,

Walking with me, on the road to holding on.

In a ever spinning world, you turn darkness to dawn.

You really hit me harder than I thought,

I actually can’t stand it that I’m not,

You’re reason to smile, even when it’s hard.

That you’re heart doesn’t skip a beat, the moment I depart.

You really hit me harder than I thought,

I actually can’t stand it that I’m not,

Able to look you in the eyes, and see inside your soul.

And forget everything for a second, and become one solid whole.

I said I don’t crave you,

but my truth begins to tremble.

The walls are coming down,

Of my own destructive temple.

I realized I need you,

But now it’s to late.

So the skies will keep crying,

And my eyes will do the same.

Such a touching piece to have come across. The way in which you described everything was quite heartwrenching. The skys eill keep crying and so will my eyes - wow - what a powerful image of just a couple of lines.

Welcome.

Mark.
This is so touching. And the format fits the poem so well.

"I said I don't crave you,/ but my truth begins to tremble./ The walls are coming down,/ Of my own destructive temple." Powerful! And honestly when I read "but my truth begins to tremble" i teared up. The one thing that we really have is what we believe is truth and when that fails....what else is there?...

"I realized I need you,/ But now it's to[o] late./ So the skies will keep crying, And my eyes will do the same"
I hope you didn't expect anyone to be able to read this without crying. It tells such a sad love story with a beautifully heart wrenching honesty. I am in awe of your work

This is wonderful and I thank you for sharing

I CANT STOP READING IT! (ok i can but i dont want to)
WONDERFUL
