You

You

A Poem by Airtightparadox
"

the destructive side of falling in love..

"

Your eyes make me paralysed, stuck in reverse.
All the pain is revised, the play is rehearsed.
I already know the ending, but i'll watch it just the same.
It keeps killing me, and then revives me from the flames.

Your smile makes me petrified, it throws me in the dark.
I'm trying to reach it, but it only leaves a mark.
A scar that seems harmless, but when you look at me.
It's ripped open and burning, leaving me to be.

When you move you make me poisoned, a curse that slowly kills.
Like a glass of water, while it quickly spills.
Until it's really empty, and i'm a helpless man.
But then you fill me up, just to spill me again.

I tried to teach you how to fly, but i slowly lost my wings.
I tried to make music, but it where broken strings.
I tried to love you, but you got inside my head.
Always wanting you, always close to dead.

Now there's no turning back, i've fallen in love.
With a dark angel, that takes me to above.
That takes me to heaven, and then lets me drop.
So i endlesly keep falling,

please let it stop.
