Moon SpiritA Poem by AiriaanPrayer
As Artemis played the harp
In the night sky, All the feathers Shut their eyes. And a lonely child Kneeling in the storm's eye, looked up At the one who never sleeps. ........................... The soul Drawn like a song From an angel's violin Shed it's feathers Like leaves from a dying tree, Raining ashes on The sleeping hills In a blink, becoming A blazing ray Of iridescent light With feathers and ashes Trailing behind. So the child returned to the moon Like an arrow To the hunter's bow. But only the night king saw this. ................................................... © 2017 AiriaanAuthor's Note
