Family can't fill the void Nor can the many friends What is it that keeps pulling down I really can't understand May be it's nothing But why does it feels everything May a longing for something Or may be a longing for someone Why do I distance myself from people And wish to be left alone Why are the things not the way they were before Why do I miss myself being myself Is there anyone out there with a void void like mine Is there any body who would understand Is there anybody who would resist the resistance to fill the void in me Is there anybody ....somebody out there
I love rhyming - everytime I see a rhyme in a poem I say this!!
Some says it's a novice quality..but am totally ok and happy with that!!
Poetry with rhyming are my fave and best just like this one😊
I'm here! - grabbing a copy of it in my library😊
Easy to lose ourselves. We will look in the mirror and we will see a stranger. I understand the poem and we cannot stop change. Maybe we suppose to change? Thank you Airaft for sharing the powerful words and thoughts.

Some poems use questioning here & there, but this is the best collection of probing questions I’ve read, all together in one poem. And it doesn’t sound a bit tiresome with the constant questions. That’s becuz each question is well-crafted to be a realistic question that many people might ask. Also, the combination of all these questions adds up perfectly to your final line, which echoes the title. This leaves us with a sensation of not being relatable, when everything in your poem is very relatable. I think that questioning is more the domain of the youthful. Once you get old like me, then we mostly say: “It is what it is!” But it’s fun to see what’s on your mind, you young pups! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I have a found a nice secluded beautiful garden and I got there often when Im dull or pensive and then I get so busy by admiring the trees, plants, flowers, listening to the birds sing and all the other things which alleviates the loneliness. I shall soon post a short writing of this secluded place, please do read.

Yep, there sure are people out there with nothing but voidness in their heart; i feel the same at times. But it's always good to know that there's someone out there who'd understand what you're really going through.
Nicely expressed.
