Spread my wings and fly....A Poem by Amy HaleI need to spread my wings and fly
Find my own strength, and within it-- rely.
Gather my afflictions and throw them away.
Before I find my life starting to fray.
A quilt, in which it stands, embrordered with memories-- with strengths and weaknesses, and overall calamities.
The colors may differ, some dark and some bright.
Only rare times, I will find my load to be light.
So toughen up young girl,
I say to myself.
Don't let them pull you along
With their empty self righteous flaws.
They try to pull you in with their selfish claws.
They are miserable where they dwell.
Their hearts existance has ceased
Their souls are gone.
All that's left are hideous beasts.
