A Daughter of Moonlight

A Daughter of Moonlight

A Poem by Aimee Olivera
"

A sweet and melancholy little poem...

"

Down from the heavens,

She comes only at night.

To dance amongst daisies,

When the stars shine bright.

She sings very sweetly,

Under the willow.

A lullaby to the moon,

Once your heads hits the pillow.

Her face is of ivory,

Her hair the night sky,

Her dance is eternal,

She never will die.

A daughter of moonlight,

Alone in the dark,

She twirls and she leaps,

Till first call of the lark.
