My Inner Cliff Face

My Inner Cliff Face

A Poem by Aimee Olivera
"

Sorry, this is dark. Don't worry, I'm not suicidal!

"
Everybody has an inner cliff face,
A secret that is hidden deep inside.
But mine is far behind a mask of gladness,
And I hope my inner cliff face stays and hides.
The strongest are the ones who keep it silent,
Banished out of sight and out of mind.
But for some the cliff face only keeps on growing,
It gets taller and the void beneath it wide.
And finally they find that they are falling,
Falling off the cliff face in their mind.

About
Never judge a book by its cover, I am 13, do not read my work with that in mind, judge me as if I were an adult. Criticism is only reasonable if you have a reason. more..
