Remember

Remember

A Poem by Amanda

Love so quickly faded, gone,
Forgotten but in faded ink,
Reminders bring no memory,
Numb even to the thoughts I think,
What love, true love, dwindles so fast,
Fades to nothing overnight,
His face is blurred, where touched, now cold
His voice lost in the stir of night,
Remember, think, what drew your words,
Feelings long lost, if e’er they were,
As blurred as fog, as dark as pitch,
Remember, let old feelings stir,
Old feelings, come, waken anon,
That warmth might touch forgotten depths,
Awaken, come, remember, feel,
Give meaning to slackening steps,
No love, no warmth, no memories,
Gone, just lost, if e’er they were,
Remember, please, that I might live,
Remember, cause my heart to stir,
Give me pulse and bring me life,
As once it throbbed for love, for him,
Remember, oh, remember love,
And if not love, remember whim.

A amazing poem. I like the usage of language in your poem. Remind me of the old writers who words were to test the mind and the imagination. You are a talented writer. The story in this poem is beautiful. To lose at love leave us weak and wishing. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
