Pens and Nails

Pens and Nails

A Poem by Aiden Alyx

pins and needles
sharp, to the point
pens and nails
equally sharp,
but to what point?
pins to hold you together
needles to stitch whats ripped
pens to write the truth
nails to hold it in place
pins to ward them off
needles to pick with
pens to dig in skin
nails to hold you down
black and white
pens and nails
pins and needles
sticks and stones
sharp
but not always
to a point
and our world is
grey

This is a wonderful write here. I like this. It's kind of deep.

I like this simple/complex piece. The play on words adds depth to the meaning, and I love the rhythm and the free form. Thank you very much for sharing.

A amazing poem. Flow of words made this a powerful poem to be able to read. Your words usage was very good. Each line added up to the final outstanding ending in the poem. The world can seem grey.
