Robe of Frost

Robe of Frost

A Poem by ImperialTroll
"

Pagan lovers stand in a cold night, witnessing a miracle of mother nature.

"

Together we stood

To watch the amber sunset

A princess and I,

In the ocean of December's winds.

There’s a distant sign

In the fading horizon

The languid summoning

Of the children of Jotunheim

Silence of winter

Mutes raging winds

The midnight is upon us

And tiny angels descend,

A tapestry is growing

On your shivering shoulders

Building a cape

Of ice and purity.

A robe of frost

Dwells upon you

Blackness is fading

From your flowing hair

Heat is dying

As the beacon of light

Is buried in snow.

A bed of fog

Is upon us both,

Yet the sky never seemed

So wild and clear

Stars shine brighter

Enlightening the snowflakes

A diamond under dim lights

You are so beautiful tonight.
