People Are Good When They Want To Be

I like to think
That people 
Are generally good
Even as crazy
As some people might seem
And even as much hate
And war
And crime
And how many people 
Seem as far away from the truth
And seem to be stuck
On their own self destructive tendencies
Even hurting themselves
And ultimately the people around them
People are still generally good
We all want to believe
That we are good inside
We just have to reach down
And find that goodness 
Inside of ourselves 
And in every one else 
Around us
