Negativity

Negativity

A Poem by Ahmad Cox

Some people
Have a natural
Tendency to see
The world in dual
Forms between the
Positive influences
And the negative
It can be easy to
Be caught in dual
Thinking and not
Seeing the bigger
Picture and the
Beautiful design
And order in our
Lives and in each
Other as well so
That we end up
Deeming certain
People as being
Evil or negative
We all have a
Shadow side
And we all
Have our light
Sides that need
Nourishing and
If we try to have
And imbalance
Of either the dark
Or the light and
Not accepting
Every part of us
We will continue
To live our lives
In duality and
Not being able
To see or to know
The bigger picture
That is right in front
Of our eyes all along

Nice message in this, leaves one thinking. I really like this part here:
"We all have a
Shadow side
And we all
Have our light
Sides"
Sometimes the light and dark/shadow sides in someone is like a battle.

I tend to do that. Be very confused between wrong and right. All of my writing is about that :P

I think it's called realism Ahmad. Sometimes we do see the bigger picture, we need to be accepting of the dark side also. Intriguing read, much food for thought in this one.

Oh, I totally agree, we all have 2 sides, but we have to and should take care of our light, because only that is connection with the eternity and God`s universe...I believe the dark will die...like the cover of emptiness. So so nice strong poem!

I am glad you could appreciate the bigger picture and meaning.
Can not know the darkness without the light and I agree, we all have both - great piece!

Thank you. :)
maybe being able to see both sides of the story IS the bigger picture, if people only ever see the world as good and ignore the bad, bad will get worse and then what happens? Nobody's to fix it. If people only think about the bad they don't appreciate the good. Maybe being objective is more than human nature but a gift. Bias is a curse

All is well...
everything thats outside the well is inside the well too...
all thats in the well...belongs outside of it too...

Yep. :0
This is so beautifully written. It is hard to allow both the positive and negative to be without judgement, but I guess that is the ultimate ability. To stay detached and watch whatever comes up (both the good and the bad) with understanding and compassion. Thanks for reminding me.
