December 2012

A Poem by Ahmad Cox

I wrote this a while ago actually but I figured it would be appropriate to post considering it is the day after.

December 2012

When I think about the events to unfold
When I start to think about the future
When I hear stories about our impending doom
When I hear about what could or might happen
On December in 2012
I don't feel panicked
I don't even feel worried
I almost feel a calm acceptance
Of what needs to be
Whether the doomsday prophecies come true
Whether nothing happens at all
Just another day passing by like any other
I know that there are a lot of experts
That have a lot of opinions
Some people say that there will be a massive solar flare
That will come in december
That will wipe out our communications
That will reverse our pole
And that might cause untold havoc on the human population
Some people say that Nibiri is going to pass by
And that it will cause untold catastrophe when it passes
There are even some people who feel like we might go through
A world war three
And that we might end it all by a nuclear strike
Some people feel like the earth might slip on it's axis
Some people even believe that aliens might come down
To take the people that are chosen
And leave the rest of the people behind
To endure the worst of the storm
To take them away
To populate some other planet
Some people even believe that the rapture will happen
And that it will bring upon the returning of Christ
And the impending apocalypse to come
I know that I am actually looking forward to what might happen
It might just be the adventurous side of me
But I am almost waiting and anticipating
To see exactly what might happen
I think I might be a little disappointed
If nothing happened at all
The Earth needs a break
She needs time to rest
This is part of our history
Everything happens in great cycles
Great advanced civilizations rise
Only to be laid down again
And for something new to be laid in it's wake
Making room for new advancements
We need to be conscious of this
So that we can move forward
So that we don't get left behind when the new wave hits us
Because I have a feeling that when it does
It will hit us like a brick
The change will be sudden
And some people might get swallowed up
In that very first moment
But it's just paving the way for the new
More wonderful things to come

I really like the adventurous mood this set in the middle of this. Very different from what I've read concerning the 'end of the world'

Wow... I found that whole thing to be complete and utter nonsense. It was very exhausting to hear about all the time...

Well, you did it brilliantly :)
This does give me some hope that the world will finally give the earth its break that it needs so desperately.

I like your perspective on this Ahmad! You present a few possibilties here which is realistic as I don't know of anyone who can predict the future perfectly. My own belief is that this is a turning point that is unavoidable, but how it turns out is not beyond our control. How consciously we act will determine how severe or smooth this will unfold. Of course this is only my opinion. Great job!

Think of all those people who bought those $100,000 survival shelters. Oh well, maybe next time.

Thank you. That means a lot to me. I have to admit I really appreciate your poems as well.
I really enjoyed this poem and even smiled on many detailed descriptions of how people "expectations" for the end of the World and all catastrophy..actually didnt come true! Yes, it`s funny how everyone knew this special "date" from the media propaganda...but no one -or few - looked in Holly Books to see, that only GOD knows the exact hour, when all wilol happen...and ofcourse as the humanity is group of so "young" creatures among the endless time history...we succeed to "go down" on the way too fast, as rocket...Ofcourse- the result will be dramatic...cause & effect...Great write!
