Ailing

Ailing

A Poem by Ahmad Cox

There are people
Who are ailing
They are sick
And they don't
Have any place to go
They have been cast aside
And left out
There are people who are sick
Who are dying
Who don't really have to be
Whether it be by their own hands
Or whether it by unknown circumstance
They need healing
Deep down people want to be saved
Deep down people want to be healed
We all could use a little help sometimes
I think that we all
Deep down inside
Want to know
That everything is going to be alright

I am glad you like it.
With your poem Ahmad, one can really tell that you have a good spirit. Someone who has the spirit to divulge inner feelings in the form of an art, or self sacrifice, love or work. Some one who is a motivator, positive and never hesitates to have a hand out to pull a person up the mountain in the daily grind. These are qualities of people with empathy, and are apparent on this piece. It's a good write Ahmad.

You are quite welcome:)
yes, so true, dear ahmad! many people need help, need to be healed, they are so many sick people, not only homeless but their soul is like sick..they all need help...and how many people could really help them?? and first we all need to be good and heal ourselves to be able to help others..I agree with your view here!
so thoughtful!

I have been one of these you speak of here. I know it is true that deep down everyone wants to be "saved and healed". It may appear that some become so sick that they no longer want this, but it isn't true. It is more a belief that there simply isn't help to be had, which too often is true. There are far too many who make personal gain there priority. Those who have too much and still want more simply don't want to see the destruction that follows in the wake of their greed and so they try and push them out of sight. Out of sight, out of mind... Why? Because they don't like feeling guilty.

Very true. Often the answer is right in front of our faces
Loved the poem. Good stream of consciousness from beginning to end...
