Flow and grind

We are taught to follow the flow and grind
That tells us we have to work for what we want
We have to put aside our own feelings and dreams
To follow the material idea
Of what we think we should do
We have to go to school
We have to work
We have to stay in the grind
Killing ourselves trying to keep up with the pace
I think part of the reason why there are so many people that are lost
And why there are so many people who are left by the wayside
Who just don't seem to fit
And who seem to get left in the cracks
Its because there is a deeper part of ourselves
That knows that we are meant for so much more
