I have Faith

We need to come together

Of that I am certain

I have faith in people

Even as much as people astound me sometimes

I also know just how good and wonderful people can be as well

There is this duality in all of us

This ability to do good

This ability to do harm

Just as much as we all have the capacity for great kindness

We also have great capacity for hatred and for fear

We have propagated so much fear

That we can lose ourselves in that raw emotion

And the negative consequences that it can bring

But at the same time there are also people who are willing to step up

To step up for the people that still need to find their way back

No person is ever so far gone, that they can't choose to accept the goodness inside of them

We are all given that choice

Whether we choose to accept that or not

Is completely up to us

So I have faith in people

I know things will turn around

Because just as much as we have this tendency towards fear and hate

We have the same tendencies toward compassion and love
