Being Free

Being free can be complicated sometimes

There are so many things

That keep us from truly being free

Being at peace with ourselves

Being at peace with where we are

Being at peace with who we have become

Being at peace with where we are in life

Letting go of all the things

That keep us from truly finding that peace

That keeps us chained to uncertainty

That keeps us chained to fear

That keeps us from truly seeing the light

And being able to see the light in others

Seeing the light in everything

Understanding that we are all trying to get free

We are all trying to find that inner peace

We all want to feel connected

We all want to feel peace

Just let yourself be free

Its not so hard

Once you actually put your mind to it

Once you put your mind to peace

To love

To acceptance

Of other and yourself

You will get to a place

Where you can truly say you are free

I totally agree! We are all looking to be free within our selves and in our lives. It's only through peace will we ever achieve it. You are on point with this piece. I agreed with every line. Freedom partially comes from self awareness and acceptance of our frailties and our strengths....and when we have done that, accepting others will naturally follow. I say partially because you are right, there are many, many facets to freedom....

Sometimes I have a hard time finding the light in others.

Yeah, I am having a harder time these days as well. But there are still people that shine very brightly and have very beautiful spirits that glow bright, but in general I look around and it feels like people are just dim and not really awake for the most part. Just going on about their lives without understanding or really wanting to understand the truth.
