I can feel your hurt I know that you are in pain Don't worry I am here I know you are there Standing in the dark Even if you are not aware I feel your pain Whoever you are Out there in the dark Come back to yourself It's never too late to step back And to look at yourself And where you are going And accept yourself And accept who you are To move past the hurt To move on And more importantly To move past the barriers that tell you You aren't worth helping Ignoring the pain Alienating yourself And ultimately shielding yourself From everyone else around you
This is a sweet poem and I am sure it can be true, but speaking from experience, sometimes you feel alienated because other people do not want to be around your pain. A lot of people you would have thought would be there for you, just disappear.
I love that this poem isn't about ignoring the hurt but more about feeling the pain and dealing with it appropriately...with people who love you! Yet another inspiring...heartfelt poem Ahmad!
Sometimes moving past the ignoring the pain is easier said than done, but you make a good point in saying that "To move past the barriers that tell you
You aren't worth helping" - this is a big step and everyone is worth helping, it's getting there, that is the hardest.

A lot of people don't realize it until its too late
I like the flow to this poem. I enjoyed it very much there was a good message writting in those words, i agree with Shimmerbliss/CAF as well. Good Job!
You have an inspiring, caring spirit that comes through in your poems. You write honestly, and in such a way that it feels like a good friend's hand on a shoulder. Beautiful.
