We must take a stand

We all must make a stand
For what we believe
And what we feel is right
We must all be willing to make a stand
And put an end to what we see right before our eyes
We must be willing to fight for this world
And fight for our peace
We must be willing to stand up
For a world filled with hope
With love
With dignity 
And with respect
For everyone and everything on this planet
We must be willing to put aside
The things that keep us apart
And that keep us from fighting 
Fighting for what we should really be fighting for
Fighting for our planet
Fighting for justice
And mercy
And in an end to all war
An end to poverty
An end to the destruction of our planet
And the destruction of our minds
We must be willing to take a stand
And stand together
If we are to save our world

I love this message, and the poem. It's so true, we do need to take a stand. I don't agree with war, and I'm a big peace maker. We shouldn't be fighting.

Great message. Love this poem. Some people for example see someone get beat up and say nothing they just keep on walking instead of doing something about it, doing what is right. One of the biggest things keeping us away from peace is selfishness an as soon as we let that go we may move forward. Thank you for the excellent read. Good job!

I am very sensative and empathetic when it comes to others people's pains and I hate knowing that some one is hurting or is in pain so I could never just sit by and willing watch someone get hurt without at least trying to help. I get sad even seeing people on the street that I know are down on their luck and I will usually try and give people something if I have the money to

But there is a lot of truth to your words. You are right, we have to let go of selfishness and start displaying that universal love for everyone, especially the people who can't fight for themselves.

Excatly is like if you walk past what's wrong and do nothing is just like you think that wrong was right for staying quite we should stand up, time has come and people in other countries have been standing up but then fallen down for dumber reasons we should rise and stay there so we don't get stepped on like we are now.

I know right. What gets me is how apathetic people are too whats really going on around them. They would rather put on blinders and ignore the truth that is staring them in the face.

Excatly, i finally have met someone who sees it beside me and my father lol it sometimes makes me mad to see people believe the lies the media puts out there or other people and instead of looking at logic and the facts they just agree with it.

Unfortunately my mom has a habit of believing things she hears on the tv or even from the internet for face value as well and unfortunately she can make a lot of blanket claims about people without seeing the positive or the other side of the story. But I tend to try and at least understand where people are coming from so I can really know where they are coming from and why they might feel the way they feel. Its very refreshing to talk to someone who actually does see these things as well.

Well we can always show them the truth, thanfully my dad sees it as well and is sometimes the ones that points out the bs to me as well when i don't notice it, and it is refreshing
