There are people who lie

They lie to us constantly

They know they can't tell us the truth

The truth would be too dangerous

They have to keep telling us lies

To keep us from understanding the truth

Because if we truly understood

We would know how powerful we are

And just how little we need them

That scares them

They know that if we got together

If we stopped fighting over petty conflicts

If we actually worked together

And worked as one person

As one thought

United and unchained

They couldn't exist

At least not how they are now

So they must constantly lie to us

To make us feel like we aren't as strong

As we really are

And they make us feel like we have to be at war

That we have to kill each other

But we know better

People are catching on to their lies

And more and more 

People are unraveling what it means

To live in a world without lies

In a world filled with truth

wow.... i likes the way you twisted the theme around. at first i thought ohh yeah.. another lecture about social norms.. bt right in the middle you took on the wider view it really worked! you let your readers wonder around think what they want.. thats soooooo great!!!!
