Reflected Back

 

You reflected back that look

And your eyes now stay hooked

You turned, your shiny hair shook

A story I see you cook

 

I hold up my mirror

As I stood across the river

My doubts becoming clearer

As you stare my appear

 

You followed me from dawn

As I walked across the lawn

And played with the faun

I now see what you have drawn

 

A spy you do appear

Thus enhancing my fears

Are you sharpening your spear?

Is that the truth of your rear?

 

My mirror I shut and keep

As I see you come close to speak

My senses begun to beep

As you have taken your leap

 

To run or not I can’t figure

As I stand facing the river

You appear to get bigger

I hope you are not my killer

 

Something shiny, something strange

Taking out something you have arranged

My life would it change?

 

I turned back and took the toss

I see you have flossed

Hit by the shiny gloss

A chain I see across

 

Through your enchanting eyes

You have fixed my shattered cries

I can’t believe this prize

With every day my hope dies

 

But now what’s back I can’t believe

That’s my long lost eve…

Author's Note

This poem is in tribute for all those who were separated from their families in the flight MH 370... lets all pray for the best ... this poem describes a long lost husband who is following his wife in order to surprise her and end her long search for him...
