Twelve cents

Twelve cents

A Poem by Ahena MK
"

"I like being a woman, even in a man's world. After all, men can't wear dresses, but we can wear the pants." - though the quote is unrelated :)

"

12 cents

Throwing all that the sun glares

Doesn’t seem to bother tear

Clouds that hover in the air

Oh mighty! He bears

Shadows do the trees share

Under which cattle rare

To later enter the exchange fair

I go to the fair and buy a pair

And treat them like my only heir

And feed them till I no more care

To leave and go I now dare

To trade in money for sheep hair

With which I’ll buy a dress that glares

For the one I most care...
