An acrylic love

An acrylic love

A Poem by Ahena MK
"

"colorful love"

"
An acrylic love

a heart of golden

we stand by,

staring at each others

acrylic eyes

singing songs

that meet our souls

coloring us

from the innermost

under the aurora

we hold our hands

watching the colors

mix and match

a love that met at it's day

under the sunlight

we gave in away

an acrylic love

it is i say

colors deep within

showing the way

I like the image of this. I believe most painters would enjoy that it tiptoes into their world of art. A very original piece.

A multi-colored write to paint a picture of love; I like the form here, the short-lined stanzas invite the reader to pause, to take in each image. Great piece, Ahena!

Thank you...
What an odd use of a medium name. I'm trying to contrast it with "oil" love or "water color/colour" love or ... whatever. The only thing I can come up with is the time it takes to fix the love onto the canvas in a permanent state. Acrylic is much faster than oils - perhaps less so than water color/colour. So is this it then? The love was "quick" to set? Or perhaps the love was quick to dry, set and fly (away)? It's a mystery. Oh you poets with layer upon layer of hidden metaphor. What ever shall we do with you? MENU: Fresh boiled poet in metaphor sauce.
