land of emotions

"destination prevails"

      Land of emotions

I travel through the waves of the ocean  

To  enter a land of great emotions               

As I watch the sun taking a dip       

And come back up for another trip      

As l travel through the waves of the ocean      

I watch the sky and mighty ocean                

The waves lift me up as the sky dips down  

the beauty and the sound  

makes me dance about

In my tiny ship I travel across lands    

crossing borders, through large rivers                        

to the land of great emotions                                                    

I sail across the oceans

Up above in the sky, l watch the sun shine                                

as days flow by                                                        

I sailed the great oceans      

and reached the land of emotions.

I love this poem. Powerful meaning. Just riding it out... what ever it is... I hear no judgment in your poem about emotion at all... no shame... and you say emotion only, not that's its good or bad... just up and down, day and night... this cycle, at least that's one of many things i'm left with after reading... very pleasant images as well. came through in the read in a nice way. Lovely poem.

I like the description and symbolism that you employed, though i had difficulty discerning the emotions meant to be conveyed and I did not perceive a very wide range. I enjoyed the sailing imagery though!

A thought provoking work. This poem tells the tale of the journey to find "the Land of Emotion." Humans have a hard time accepting "true" emotion and this poem illustrates this simplistically and beautifully. It leaves the reader guessing similar to that of emotion.

My land of emotions is one of desolation right now..wasn't always that way..may not be that way tomorrow...I steer my vessel away from land..at least at sea there is hope.
