The Fibonacci

The Fibonacci

A Poem by Ahena MK
"

fibonacci numbers are a set of numbers which make up nature... 1,1,2,3,5,8,13... are some of the numbers the first two numbers add up to the third like for eg. 1+1=2 and 1+2=3, 2+3=5 and so on...

"

The Fibonacci

Sorcerer, I sleep through the dark deeds

the dark deeds which I rarely breathe

Rolling around my bed I puzzle

how many people I muzzle

In the dark there was a ray of light

traveling towards the number pile

All night I scribbled

yet got nothing right

papers and papers

I wasted piles

A scarf I tied around me tight

wondering which numbers will unlock my mind

The box I held under my arm

which numbers do I choose from

six numbers in all I had to fill

each one a single digit

I mixed and matched random dates

as I thought that would unlock the safe

but I didn’t manage to get anything straight

And suddenly I remembered the Fibonacci

as my mom had said “add carefully”

I unlocked the string

and pulled out a ring

thanks to the Fibonacci

Constructive: A very interesting number combination indeed. I can appreciate your discipline for structured writing. I myself adhere to the laws of the art of writing.

Ha now that would be something! My pleasure.........
I find it full of mathematically oriented mischief. The form is pleasing... not too symmetrical. It's just enough off-kilter to be human and approachable.
