It's Time

It's Time

A Poem by AhEed AbRar

Tell the world it's time.
Time to make a life,
time to survive.
So get up it's time,
for that vision in our life,
that see's us in the skies
so that we can survive.
Making up a new road,
to see the face of a new morn.

Tell the world it's time.
Can't waste no more time.
So get up.
We have a big day ahead,
to make a distinction,
to the fate of this prison we're living in,
made by the sellouts of the country.

Tell the world it's time.
Time to clean up the filth,
in our own fellowship.
It's time to wake up from the dream,
and start building a new fleet.
Start a new revelation,
for the new generation.

Tell the world it's time.
Try not to shut your eyes.
See the face of the new world,
we welcome you to the new age.
It ain't no nuisance,
it's what we've chosen.

Tell the world it's time.
So join your hands,
and sing the song of our new land.
We've made the difference,
with a few moments left,
we've sealed our fate.
Times up.

Has more of a speech in the lines of this one...like some one on a podium and announcing these pleas within those in the audience...

This reminds me of the brave stories of those that would rise up and lead their people out of subjugation, only to be subjugated by their own people once freedom was gained. Yet, even as they stood dressed to taste the lick of the flames, they held their head high, knowing that they had made a difference for their people, even though it was their people that now turn on the champions and burn them at the stake.
All in the heart spark of self sacrifice. The many outway the few.

That's what this piece spoke to me of. Thanks for sharing it! It's really well put together!
