Untitled 2

Untitled 2

A Poem by Ajh

Open me up like I’m a shark with half of your leg inside of me , only still salvageable by minutes
Rip me open from highest point to lowest point
From head to toe
Tell me what’s inside
Can you find the broken pieces ?
If there’s a switch that should be on but isn’t , could you kindly flick it up?
Dissect me as if I were a new species being examined for the first time
Reconnect all the wires that have been disconnected along the way
Open me up like I’m the blinds holding back all the sunlight from entering
Let the light shine through to the darkest corners
Once all my switches are on, once all my wires are plugged back in, weld me back together.
Weld me back together.

Unfortunately, this kind of welding job comes only from within.
