Loki

Loki

A Poem by Agonizing Clarity
"

A not so depressing and startling poem.

"
Beauty.
In the smallest things
I can hear your laughter over
the distance
time
and miles
eternities.
Time has brought us together and will
eventually
tear us apart.
I know that love is just a shout into the void
and we will all face eventual oblivion, but
I adore you best friend.

I have known you since the hardest part of my life
you saved mine
so many words to describe.
Some days I wake up and fear
that this will be the day
you push me out.
But never.
You're arms are always open
always there
ever present
calling me
home.
You are my best friend
My Loki
Mine.
But you are also his
and that doesn't bother me
like I'd thought it would
I can hear the joy in your voice
He makes you happy
and I love him for it.
But I will also know if it hurts you.
My ears are attuned to your voice I will know
if they tremble.
My eyes are focused on your smile
I will know if it's flimsy.

I've never known someone
as caring as her.
I love how her lips stumble over words
Intoxicating extremities
I adore hearing her smile over the phone
If it were a record
I'd play it over and over on repeat
again and again.
