I can interpret this poem as transaction between nature and man. End of the day we all forget everything good or evil taken from nature. Good poem

Forgotten what?
Did you mean and she's been forgotten at the end of the day?

That I can see. Someone who thought she could catch someone's eyes maybe. But in the end she comes home disappointed.
