Go to town? Over what? Schoolchild level insults? Your being too lazy to learn how to write poetry and throwing a hissy-fit because I dared suggest ways to improve?

Ah well: You must have mistaken me for your immature playmate, because only a child would resort to name-calling instead of using their words like a grown-up."

Happy now?
Child, in my life I've done things like design the communications processor for the US Presidents Airborne command post. I've designed electronic systems for companies like DuPont, Timex, and many more. I've visited 48 of the 50 states as part of my job, plus countries like Okinawa, Germany, Canada, Mexico, and more.
You?
I've given four years of service to my country as a volunteer, and have spent over 40 years working with the scouts.
You?
I've been published in nonfiction, long and short form fiction, and poetry. And by published I don't mean posting crap her as you do and calling myself published. I was paid $200 for the only poem I tried to have published, and that's 20 years ago,
I have 29 novels and short story collections available on pretty much every online book-sale site.
You?
I've raised three relly nice kids.
And what have you done? Learned how to spell "prick," but NOT how best to make it work for you. If you're lucky you get a comment or two on SOME of your posted work, while I get pages worth. But...you feel you deserve a gold star for having found your keyboard.
Here's the deal: For all we know you might be talented, and were you to take the time learn how to write poetry and fiction, you might be an excellent writer.
But behaving like a ten-year-old because someone suggested a few books that might help you? Wasted time, because I don't take you seriously. My granddaughter is thirteen, and she writes significantly better than you do, because she understands that respect is earned, not demanded. And she, at only thirteen has already starred as a paid actress.
You?
“I would advise anyone who aspires to a writing career that before developing his talent he would be wise to develop a thick hide.”

Saying "I don't take you seriously" then writing the 30th novel.
Honestly, it must be scary to do such great work and still not know how to treat people. I hope you earn enough from your work to pay for your therapy. After such a full and productive life, it must be hard for you that most people don't like you.

You'll understand when you have children. Raising them requires a level of attention and commitment, and a focus that has to be experienced to appreciate.

Hmmm...you have a total of 8 friends. I have over 1000. Talk to me when you've convinced more than a handful that you're worth befriending.

Adding friends from social media is just two clicks. How long have you been here? and how many of your friends are active, how many of them do you actually talk to? I hope these aren't the only friends you have, that would be horrible, honestly. The fact that you boasted about the number of your friends made me cry.

Easy enough to prove you know what you're doing. Sell something. Convince an editor to pay you for your work.
I've done it, and since you're oh, so much smarter than I am, it should be no problem. Right?
I pay attention to accomplishments, not whining children who lash out with petty insuts because they have nothing real to say.

You senile rug. You’re pathetic. I hope whichever nursing home you are housed at turns off their WiFi because we all know you’re a hollow husk of a real human being. A skin walker and a prideful brat of an old man.
Find some empathy. Connect. Touch some f*****g grass if your walker will get you that far.

Says the child who is trying to defend not doing even basic research into writing EITHER poetry of fiction.
Talk is cheap. Accomplishments are what matters.
Something your teachers should have given you is the futility of entering a battle of wits unarmed.

When I was there, in 1956-1858, the island was not part of Japan, but was run by the US, which had taken it from Japan in The Battle of Okinawa.Only later was it returned. But still, a great many Okinawans feel they are Okinawan, not Japanese. Had you done even a cursory check you'd have found articles like:
https://magazine.libarts.colostate.edu/article/being-okinawan-an-examination-of-okinawas-history-and-resiliency/
In the film, The Karate Kid (1984), Mr Miyagi says his country is Okinawa, not Japan. And if you've seen it, you know why I'm not going to argue with him.
But as always, you're trying to distract from the real issue, your inability to handle anything but praise and lack of maturity.
• Then what does that make talking of your own accomplishments? Cheap cheap cheap cheaaaap.
Those accomplishments are the direct result of taking the time to learn the necessary skills.
It's quite possible that you'll end up far more successful than I ever was...if, you dismount from that extremely high horse you've mounted, and learn to never begin vast projects with half-vast ideas.
