Musings on Karma

Musings on Karma

A Poem by iTryToWriteAllTheTime

Non existence precedes existence
Existence breeds death and rebirth
Round and round we go, karma
Pushing our essence into new names
No choice but to go on turning the
Wheel of our many formed reincarnations.
We seek our last birth, so we don't go on
Suffering endlessly, withering away into
weakness, apathy, and misfortune.
Round and round we go seeking the
Exhilaration of our own destruction,
Constrained within this wheel of Karma

Hhhhhmmm! We have always existed as Spirit before becoming human beings (Spirit within a body, because that is the only way that Spirit can travel in the human world, otherwise one is a ghost) and yes, on becoming a human being we come with day, date and time to leave the human world too. In Spirit we always have a choice to reincarnate or not. We can also decide to stay in Spirit (not reincarnate) and learn there instead of having a human experience in learning. Being human does bring suffering, pain etc, but it also brings happiness, joy, etc for balance.
(in Hinduism and Buddhism) the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences. That is Karma. Very thought provoking write, iTry! I like it very much, though my beliefs differ from yours a little. Nicely expressed and finely constructed. Thank you for sharing, dear poet...

I would like to know some of those names...and I wonder if each essence has its own identity.
Like poets with pen names.
Constrained maybe or spinning on that wheel.
This poem drove me to some introspection.
