Be not QuietA Poem by iTryToWriteAllTheTimeAmbitious thoughts seeking community. Let me know what you think.World draws closer to fire, Inevitable shaking before Doomsday. Tyrants voting themselves in, Unable to move them out of Office. Stirring imaginary Conflict. Barbarians destroying and Pillaging with no care for feeling Or common sense consequences. They are but a domino tripped And chased along cause and effect. Revolutions fought and refought Over and over again, though to What end? World changes for us. Why change? Heroes becoming villains, Villains becoming heroes. Memories flying in the wind Before they set their feet on Dirt. Love, ambition, horror, romance, war Are but pulses of breath, like Waves meeting the shore, pulling Themselves back toward the ocean. And we are left to be quiet, To see nothing, to do nothing. But we can’t help ourselves, So we make music with noise. © 2024 iTryToWriteAllTheTimeAuthor's Note
