Whip of Critique

Whip of Critique

A Poem by iTryToWriteAllTheTime

You hold the hooked whip of critique

And crown yourself an authority people

Expect you to be.

Maybe eventually people

Will be free of you and your so called

Mastery.

What might a master be except a key to

The boon of legitimacy?

And we might see the fraud you’ve always

Knew you were, producing but critiques

And no real works to judge. But alas,

You can’t see beyond your veil of idle destructive

Tendencies.

This makes me think of the people who criticize without putting themselves out there. The world is full of them. Great work.
