Enlightenment

Enlightenment

A Poem by iTryToWriteAllTheTime
"

Read something and was inspired to create a poem about what I was thinking.

"

We lay at the end

Of enlightenment

Our senses numbed

To the ever consuming

Ideas, feeding off the

Vision of our senses.

Sickly deranged ideas

Eating from our eyes,

Ears, mouth, nose, and

Soul.

Pillars of enlightenment

stand in stone, ready to

Eat us.

Tame these pillars,

Make these stones bleed

Their borrowed holy

water.

Tremendous work. Powerful writing.

Feels like a surreal journey through disillusioned ideas and finally hope and enlightenment.
