Man who can't forget

Man who can't forget

A Poem by iTryToWriteAllTheTime
"

I made this being inspired by a song I heard about a character I remember from somewhere, but can't remember where from.

"

Remembrances

flutter in quickly

s**t on my mood

smear memories

across my eyes.

Empty stomach

dropping with it's

felt weight.

Goosebumps spreading

numbing any connection

to my feelings, kept warm

by fight or flight.

Drop dead shaking,

trying to wash these

memories. Hot shower.

Then you'll forget.

Remembrance resides silently and spreads mercilessly. You've painted it beautifully! Shower is good. Sometimes books or poems help me

Random memories, seemingly unrelated to conscious thoughts, often stab me like spears.
Showers help, and long walks, and escapes like TV & movies.
You have a talent for putting such things into verse. Keep it up!
