A FOREVER AFFAIR

its a poem i wrote when i first fell for a man i knew i had no future with. but he mae m happy so i dedicate this to him.

No matter the number of kisses 

Or how wanted be made me feel

After all the caresses

And the weakness in my knee

And all the kindness

Whenever that could be

It wasn't a forever affair

That I could clearly see

 

And though I loved his touch

And the smile he put on my face

His heart wasn’t mine to catch

It was another's place

So I clearly could see

It wasn’t a forever affair

And that made my heart race

 

Though he said I was pretty

Just felt he was petty

And said my face was radiant

I couldn't feel love in that ambiance

And when he said i brought him joy

I knew it was just a coy

To take my mind of the fact

That it will never be a forever affair

 

 Though its not a forever affair

I like it in your arms

And the soft touch of your palms

I like the smile you bring to my face

And that feeling of safety when i lie on your chest

Though its not a forever affair

I'll enjoy it while it last

Till you also become a part of my past.

I think there are many women who will understand the place from which this comes.
Our hopes never realized, we hold on making memories. Because at least the memories last long after the relationship has ended.

it is a good poem, we cannot choose whom to love neither we have the right to judge whether it is right or wrong. a lot of people get involved in affairs not because of morality but because they love the person.
