Moths

Moths

A Poem by Brandon
"

The similarities between moths and ourselves, as we are drawn to the light

"

Like moths

In the dark we fly

To the glowing light.

My beauty

Beckons me to touch

That which brings me pain.

Hurting I withdraw.

Warmed with false fire

But

I love her touch

She calls. I answer

She burns. I won't cry

I will always praise

This gorgeous

Light of mine

I love what you've here and wonder if in the end we aren't all moths drawn to the flame. Soft and subtle imagery, beautifully written.

AHHH YES, we are all drawn to the flames of fire. We must learn how to use fire for it's positive purpse, lest we get burned. Keep it just close enough to keep you warm, but avoid the 3rd degree's because those you heal but they can leave you scarred. Just remember love's purpose.
