No One CriedA Poem by BrandonInspired by the movie Antwoine Fisher
No one cried for the little boy,
So he cried himself to sleep. He dreamt of a world of kisses and hugs; Plates filled with food to eat No one cried for the teenage son, So he cried his way to class Mom was a s**t, dad was a drunk Lived on the bad side of the tracks No one cried for the lost young man, So he cried as he lay in bed Tightly holding a stranger Some woman that he had never met No one cried for the lost father, So he cried as he worked and worked Slaving away to make ends meet Leaving his children alone and hurt Will you cry for that little boy? The one that’s lost and alone Will you cry for that little boy? The one that never had a home Will you cry for that little boy? So he won’t cry himself to sleep Will you cry for that little boy? The one that lives in you and me © 2009 Brandon |
