The Tree

The Tree

A Poem by Brandon
"

A tree grown out of hatred

"

I gave and gave, while

You took and took and took

Leaving me empty and unfertile

Barren, with a single seed

A seed born out of hatred

That became a montrous tree

That infinately grows, consuming the world

A testament to my hate

This tree's fallen fruit lays waste

With it's poison laced taste

And toxic leaves, that leave the Earth chaste

Like a sickly sore. Festering and Oozing

A pestilent plague that must be contained

So you cut out the disease

At the place where it starts

But what do you do

When you hold your beating heart

A powerful poem. I like the use of the tree to make your point. The ending make the poem complete.
"So you cut out the disease
At the place where it starts '
Thank you for the excellent poem.
