Life goes by
Like whispers through time
A whim unforgotten
Sung in rhyme

Dreams that make us
Hearts that break us
Sorrow and tears
Happiness without fear

Fading and dying
Life unforgiving
A glimmer of hope
For freedom we grope

In the end
It's what we did that matters
Always a friend
Better the world with these hands of ours
